Big Brown for the Triple Crown

After Big Brown won the Preakness yesterday, he seems a horse-shoe-in for the Triple Crown. Just one race stands between him and racing immortality.

Nicholas, You're Fired!

Nicholas was the first person to be fired in series 4 of The Apprentice. After making some horrendous pricing mistakes at the fish market.

It wasn't entirely his fault. Reaf got a grand total of three types of fish wrong. So, it was hardly Nichloas's fault that he put the wrong price on. The lobster on the other hand... £5 for a lobster. He shouldn't have let that one past him.

I'm sure he didn't do himself any favours by telling Alan Sugar (internationally famous Spurs fan) that he didn't like football. His defence mostly hang on the fact he was posh and over-educated. Also not the sort of thing that Alan Sugar wouldn't be convinced by.

Quotes

Quotes from The Apprentice candidate Nicholas De Lacy Brown:

"From the moment I was born I knew I was destined for great things."

"I'm allergic to chavs."

"My father fought the hurdles of his working class upbringing to provide me with privileged education and luxury."

Nicholas De Lacy Brown's Website

Nicholas's website is quite a strange place. It focuses much more on his art than his business.

You can judge for yourself whether he's a huge talent. Here's his painting of the Monmartre in Paris.

There are plenty more pictures on his website if it takes your fancy.

The Apprentice

Is That His Real Name?

Nicholas was not born 'Nicholas De Lacy-Brown'. But just plain, old Nicholas Brown.

The De-Lacy part came from his grandmother. He took it on as he wanted to sound more aristocratic. He says of it, "My name is very distinctive. De Lacy is a beautiful name. It gets me noticed in business and life." Let's hope it works for him on The Apprentice.
